Each string contains three sections, string module (SM), and elements of the acoustic positioning system.

The SM provides the sections with electricity by means of the controlled multi-channel 300V switch equipped with the outputs voltage monitoring system. It forms the string’s status and monitor information about the string power supply and the outputs voltage of the 300V-switch. The information is sent to the central cluster module and then to the shore station. Also the SM redirects data between the sections and the central cluster module by means of the Ethernet commutator and additional modem.
